• Slide the tubes through the sleeves in each side of the  
play quilt.  
• Position the supports so that the sides with the slots  
face inward.  
• Fit the two small fastener straps on each end of the  
tubes through the slots inside the circular openings in  
the supports. Fasten the fastener straps together to  
secure the tubes to the supports.  
• Locate the battery compartment door on the back of the  
chicken activity toy.  
• Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a  
Phillips screwdriver. (The screw will remain in the door.)  
• Lift the battery compartment door to open.  
• Fit the plastic tabs at the corners of the play quilt into  
the slots in the supports.  
• Fasten the activity toys to the activity toy straps.  
• Remove the used batteries and dispose of them properly.  
• Insert two new button-cell (LR44 or equivalent) alkaline  
batteries in the battery compartment as shown. Make sure  
the flat side of each battery (printed with the battery desig-  
nation) faces up.  
Helpful Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for  
longer battery life.  
Carry-Along  
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the  
screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.  
Fastener Strap  
• When lights or sounds from this toy become faint or stop  
working, it’s time to replace the batteries!  
Battery Tips  
• Do not mix old and new batteries.  
• Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard  
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).  
• Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use.  
Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Battery  
leakage and corrosion can damage this toy. Dispose of  
batteries safely.  
• Never short circuit the battery terminals.  
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.  
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recom-  
mended in the "Battery Replacement" instructions are to  
be used.  
• Place the play quilt print side up on a flat surface.  
• Attach the activity toys to the straps on the sides of the  
play quilt and place the toys on top of the quilt.  
• Locate the fastener strap at one end of the play quilt. Place  
the supports and tubes at the opposite end of the play quilt  
and roll the play quilt from end to end.  
• Fit the fastener strap through the loop on the outside of the  
play quilt and fasten to close.

Care  
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician  
for help.  
• Machine-wash the play quilt in cold water on the gentle  
cycle. DO NOT use bleach. Tumble dry on low heat.  
• Surface wash the tubes, activity toys and supports with a  
mild cleaning solution.  
• This toy has no consumer serviceable parts. Please do not  
take this toy apart.
