as it contains important information.  
Adult assembly is required.  
Requires three "AA" (LR6) alkaline batteries (not included).  
Tool required for battery installation: Phillips screwdriver (not included).

Kick & Play Piano  
 
Battery Safety Information  
Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your toy.  
To avoid battery leakage:  
Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline,  
standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).  
Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.  
Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted  
batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries  
in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak.  
Never short-circuit the battery terminals.  
Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended.  
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.  
Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.  
If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged  
under adult supervision.  
Attaching Kick & Play Pianoto a Crib  
Mattress  
Position Kick & Play Piano against the rails on the inside of baby’s crib near  
the mattress.  
Hint: For newborns, place Kick & Play Piano along a side rail where baby  
can easily hear and see it. For infants, place Kick & Play Piano near baby's  
feet, within baby's reach.  
Tie each fastener to fit snugly around a crib rail.  
You can easily remove Kick & Play Piano from the crib rails for out-of-crib play.

Play Time!  
Mode Dial  
Kick & Play Pianofeatures three play modes:  
Mode 1 - Melody Medley  
Mode Dial  
Mode 2 - Play & Learn  
Mode 3 - Floor Piano  
Turn the four position mode dial to select a play mode or to turn OFF 0.  
For longest battery life, always remember to turn power OFF 0 when not in use.  
Mode 1: Melody Medley  
Turn the mode dial to 1 to start a medley of 10 different nursery melodies and a  
twinkling light display. The medley will play through three times to total  
approximately 10 minutes of music and lights!  
Press a piano key at any time during the medley to advance to the next melody.  
The nursery medley will restart and, if uninterrupted, will cycle through all 10  
melodies three times.  
After Kick & Play Piano has cycled through each of the 10 melodies three times;  
it will automatically turn off (sleep). Press any key to restart this mode.  
Mode 2: Play & Learn  
Turn the mode dial to 2 where baby can learn about letters, numbers  
and animals.  
Baby can kick or press any piano key to hear the letter pressed, the name of the  
animal depicted, and the animal’s sound.  
When baby kicks or presses any piano key a second time, they will hear the  
number pressed. The Kick & Play Piano™ will then count out the number  
accompanied by flashing lights and then play a short tune.  
If your child is not actively playing with the Kick & Play Piano, it will encourage  
your child to do so by twice playing an animal sound prompt. If your child does  
not press a piano key either time, Kick & Play Piano automatically turns off  
(sleep). Press any key to restart this mode.

Mode 3: Floor Piano  
Turn the mode dial to position 3 for keyboard fun.  
Your child can press the piano keys to compose a fun tune! The lights twinkle  
each time a key is pressed.  
If your child is not actively playing with the Kick & Play Piano, it will encourage  
your child to do so by twice playing a musical prompt. If your child does not  
press a piano key either time, the Kick & Play Piano will switch into auto-sleep.  
Press any key to restart this mode.  
Volume Adjustment  
Open the back of the Kick & Play Piano cover and locate the volume switch.  
Adjust volume to high  
or low , for your child’s comfort.  
Care  
Back View  
Hand wash the cover in cold water with a mild detergent. Line dry. DO NOT  
machine wash or dry the cover. Surface clean the piano by wiping it with a  
damp cloth. Do not immerse the piano.  
To remove the cover, open the flap on the back of the piano. Push up the lock  
tabs on the back, one side at a time to separate the cover from the piano.  
Remove the cover.  
To replace the cover, fit the piano into the cover. Make sure the shape lights on  
the front of the piano fit into the shape cut-outs in the cover.  
Gently press down on the cover between the shape lights to "click" it in place.  
Pull gently on the cover to make sure it is attached to the piano.  
Close and fasten the cover.
